Its that time of year gain, the weather is cooling and the fishing is heating up! The water temperature is finally starting to drop and the fish are becoming less nostalgic and more hungry! There are large amounts of mullet and other baitfish congregating around shell banks and grass edges. These areas provide a perfect opportunity for anglers to cast popping corks with live shrimp and catch these fish feeding on that bait. Also due to the large amounts of mullet and bait fished that get pushed through the inlets that are moving through the inlets, large tarpon can be seen busting in and near the breakers in the mouth of the inlet. This is a unique time to book inshore fishing charters in Charleston as the trout and small reds are biting, along with the large channel reds and Tarpon. God bless Fall and the cool weather!
